We offer driver education to Teens and Adults and give Road Tests.
Major Driving School was established in October, 1994 and is owned and operated as a small family run business. Classes are offered in Burton/Flint, Carman-Ainsworth High School area, Flushing, and Swartz Creek.
Our Mission
Major Driving School is committed to becoming the leading provider of driver education in the Flint area and teaching new drivers how to apply basic principles of driving so they can become “Good, Safe, Courteous and Aware” drivers.
Meet the Staff
Please allow us to toot our own horn for just a moment. Major Driving School is staffed with extremely qualified instructors and friendly, helpful office administration. Major Driving School offers a professional, friendly, learning atmosphere with knowledgeable and experienced instructors.
Byron Major has a Bachelor degree in teaching and has taught driver education for more than 27 years. He has logged over 1,500,000 miles of automobile driving instruction in the Flint area and has been married to Anna for 37 years. He currently resides in Swartz Creek, where he enjoys working around his house and spending time with his wife and visiting his 2 grown children and grandchildren. He is the Owner of Major Driving School, is a certified instructor for Teen and Adult Driver Education, and has conducted Road Skills Tests for the past 22 years.
Anna Major also has a Bachelor degree in teaching and has conducted Road Skills Tests for Major Driving School for 19 years. She holds an administrative position in a local high school and enjoys spending time with her grown son and daughter and grandchildren.
Dan has over 33 years teaching experience. He has 2 Teacher of the Year awards and has been a certified Driver Education instructor for over 20 years.
Sarah has been a certified Driver Education Instructor for 12 years. She is also the Director of Operations at Major Driving School, and enjoys traveling the world with her husband and daughters.
Dennis has been a certified Driver Education Instructor for 5 years. He enjoys running, biking and gardening. He is a proud parent of three children and three grandchildren. He holds a degree in Human Services from Ferris State University.
Our friendly office staff and they handle all of our scheduling and any questions that may need answers.
