ADULT DRIVER EDUCATION
Major Driving School offers the very finest in driver education instruction and has been approved by the Michigan Department of Education. Our school is also licensed by the Michigan Department of State, school license number P000378. Checks can be made payable to Major Driving School LLC. Adult Driver Ed includes either 24 hours of classroom and/or behind-the-wheel training. The 24 hours of classroom are $150 and the rate for behind-the-wheel training is $65. YOU CHOOSE whether you would like 24 hours of classroom and behind-the-wheel training, or only 24 hours of classroom, or only behind-the-wheel training. We offer monthly classes in the Burton/Flint East area, Carman-Ainsworth High School, Flushing, and the Swartz Creek area.
If you would like to register, please call our office at 810-743-8217 , fax or mail a completed contract to our office, or register online. Registrations will be taken on a “first come, first served” basis.

Behind-the-Wheel Training Before any driving can be done, the student will need to obtain a license or temporary instruction permit (TIP) from a Secretary of States office. They will need to go to the office with a stat I.D. card OR a certified birth certificate and two other pieces of identification. Identification CANNOT be wallet size, but can be a school record, a medical, auto, or life insurance policy, a marriage license, or a child’s birth certificate. Once there, the student will pay $25, take a vision test, and a 40 question written test. To prepare the student for the test, he/she can get and study the booklet, “What Every Driver Must Know“ or full booklet (Very Large File) Full Booklet - Michigan “What Every Driver Must Know“ from a Secretary of States website or office. Our car is equipped with dual control brakes and is fully insured for your safety.
